Aims
We helped RBS brand Devitt, a specialist motorcycle insurance broker, develop their social media strategy and implement effective ways for them to reach their niche customer base.
Activity
We created an online community called “Keep Britain Biking” in order to address Devitt’s key strategic needs.
The community contains blog and forums to engage customers and to encourage discussions about urban biking. The site is also integrated with a Twitter feed to help spread word about the community.
Key results
- Keep Britain Biking has enabled Devitt to increase brand awareness with motorcycle enthusiasts in a non transactional way.
- People who are aware of Keep Britain Biking are 31% more likely to take out insurance with Devitt.
- Devitt has significantly grown its volume of CRM data, particularly around insurance renewal dates, for both customers and prospects through the Keep Britain Biking community site.
- The community contains unique content called ‘Biking Intel’ – information for bikers provided by bikers– which includes parking spots, biking routes and bike shops.
- Biking Intel can be accessed on the go via the bespoke Keep Britain Biking mobile app that we developed for Devitt.
