Since March we’ve been working with emergency and out of hours veterinary care practice Vets Now to create and manage Park Bench – a Facebook community for dog lovers and their beloved pets. This week we’re delighted to announce that we passed the 25,000 fan milestone, making us the fastest-growing British pet community on Facebook.

Created from scratch, Park Bench is a community aimed at the owners of Britain’s estimated 7.2 million dogs and it's proving to be a real hit with its target audience. We specifically designed and built a Park Bench pet profile app to meet the needs of our client and it allows the user to create a profile for their dog, make friends with other dog owners across the UK and to share their favourite photos and stories. Through Park Bench, dog owners can also access expert advice from real vets and pet experts.

As pleased as we are with the growth of the page, what we’re most excited about are the engagement levels – the real mark of success for any online community. According to social media engagement experts Fangager, 9.9% of the audience on Park Bench is actively engaged – that’s roughly five times the average for Facebook pages.
