Examples of online communities

Here are three of our favourite clients. They range from word-of-mouth marketing communities to closed business-to-business research communities.

Butlins Online Community

FreshNetworks is helping Butlins promote their Big Weekend breaks by engaging visitors in an online community. We've worked with Butlins throughout the process - designing the look and feel, developing metrics to ensure we could measure the community’s success, handling all community management and moderation, and analysing data for reporting.

Vitabiotics

FreshNetworks has built and launched a community for Vitabiotics, the producer of Wellman, Wellwoman and Pregnacare vitamins. The community is focussed on discussing women's beauty secrets and the importance of beauty from within. Through this community, Vitabiotics aims to encourage the debate about beauty and anti-ageing and to enhance it's position as a thgouht leader and expert in this area. The community provides a way for Vitabiotics to use their expertise to help members; it allows members to engage with experts, stimulate conversations around the topic and ultimately drive e-commerce to the Vitabiotics site. The online community has already achieved a range of organisational goals, from raising consumer engagement and building brand awareness to driving traffic and raising sales.

British Telecom

FreshNetworks helped British Telecom (BT) develop one of their B2B product lines by creating a European-wide director-level online research community. We helped the organisation grow this area by engaging directors across the business in an online community that encouraged them to discuss products through weekly collaborative research activities. The community was a huge success, flourishing with no monetary incentivisation for participation.
